Farmart Tour 28 July 2014

An overwhelming turnout of alumni members and their families recently attended a day tour in the Farmart Centre on 28th July 2014. The tour, conducted by Uncle William who is also affectionately known as ‘The Quail Man of Lim Chu Kang’, educated and entertained the children and their families in life sciences through his rich farming experiences. He gave an introduction to the Quail, Life Cycle, Eggs and Nutrition & Quail Farming in Singapore. Children participated in small quizzes on live quails, quail chicks and other types of game birds.

The tour continues with an introduction to Frog, Toad, Frog Types, and the Frog Life Cycle. The children ended their day of fun with animal feeding and petting.

At the end of the tour, all members and their families were treated to a bowl of delicious quail soup and walked away with a packet of quail eggs each.
